What is Ayurveda?

Ayurveda is a 5,000-year-old holistic healing system from India that focuses on restoring balance between the body, mind, and spirit. It uses personalized diet, lifestyle, herbal, and self-care recommendations based on your unique constitution (dosha).

The three doshas — Vata, Pitta, and Kapha — are the fundamental energies that govern all functions of the body and mind. Everyone has all three, but in unique proportions. Understanding your dosha helps identify your natural strengths and imbalances so you can align your daily life for optimal well-being.

Ayurveda focuses on root causes, not just symptoms. Instead of treating disease after it appears, it helps you build balance and resilience so that disease doesn’t take hold. It complements modern medicine beautifully by supporting long-term wellness and prevention.

Your consultation includes a detailed discussion of your health history, digestion, sleep, lifestyle, and emotional patterns. We identify your prakriti (natural constitution) and vikriti (current imbalance) and design a personalized plan including diet, daily rhythm, herbs, and self-care rituals to restore balance.

AyurYoga integrates traditional yoga postures, breathwork, and meditation with Ayurvedic principles. Each session is adapted to your dosha and current state — so it’s therapeutic, balancing, and supportive of your body’s needs, not one-size-fits-all.

Shirodhara is a deeply relaxing Ayurvedic therapy where warm herbal oil is poured in a steady stream over the forehead. It calms the nervous system, supports hormonal balance, and relieves stress, anxiety, and insomnia. Many clients describe it as “meditation without effort.”

Avoid heavy meals right before your session. Wear comfortable clothing and come with an open mind — the experience is deeply soothing. Afterward, allow yourself quiet time to rest; the benefits continue unfolding for several hours.

For deep rejuvenation, a series of 3 to 6 sessions (spaced weekly or biweekly) is ideal. For maintenance and stress relief, even a single monthly session offers powerful results.

Yes! All consultations and AyurYoga sessions can be done virtually. You’ll receive a secure Zoom link before your session, and follow-up materials will be provided digitally.
