Frequently Asked Questions
What should I bring or wear?
Comfortable clothes. For shirodhara, bring a hair tie and plan to wash your hair at home afterward; the oil stays in your hair.
Is this covered by insurance?
Ayurvedic sessions aren’t covered by insurance. You’ll get an itemized receipt you can submit if your plan allows.
Are you a medical doctor?
No. I’m a NAMA board-certified Ayurvedic Practitioner, not a licensed physician. Ayurveda works alongside your medical care, not in place of it. Please keep seeing your doctor for any medical condition.
Can I do my consultation online?
Yes. Online consultations run Monday–Friday by video, and your written plan is the same as in person. Shirodhara is in person only.
What if I need to cancel?
Reschedule for free with at least 48 hours’ notice. Later cancellations and no-shows are charged 50% of the session fee.
What happens after my first consultation?
Many clients continue with The Ayu Method, a 3-month 1:1 program with follow-ups and plan adjustments. We’ll talk about whether it fits you at the end of your session. No pressure.
